What are dentures?

Dentures are efficient and cost-effective way to replace one or more missing teeth. The base of the denture can be made from plastic or metal and are always custom made to fit your mouth. Both types of denture look fairly similar in your smile, but metal dentures are much stronger. 

Why do I need a denture? 

Dentures can improve the appearance of a smile that has multiple missing teeth. They can also keep the structure of the mouth sound by supporting the cheeks and lips. Dentures also make it more comfortable to eat foods that require chewing, making it possible to maintain a healthy diet and ensure that you are properly nourished.  

How are they made? 

Dentures are typically made by a dental prosthetist. We use Tom at The Denture Kitchen or Darius at All Smiles Denture Laboratory. Traditionally, a dentist works with a prosthetist to made your new denture, sending impressions back and forth to the lab. However, we like to leave it to the pros. Cutting out the middle man so to speak, and giving you what we think is a better fitting denture that is more affordable!
