Historically, most dental fears and anxieties begin in childhood. At toothco Cotton Tree we want to break the stigma and build healthy smiles for life. 

When does my child need to see the Dentist? 

We encourage you to bring your child to see us by age two. Of course earlier or later is just fine too! 

What should my child expect?

We believe in a gentle approach to children’s dental care and begin with familiarising your little one with our tools and instruments. We have a ride in the chair and kids can even pick their favourite show to watch on our TV in the sky! Even though childhood tooth decay is common, it can be avoided through using a combination of professional and home dental care techniques. 

It is important to have regular checks with your child. Additional to a dental examination we also conduct a thorough orthodontic and airway assessment at every visit.  Many issues that begin in childhood can have a lasting and detrimental impact not only on your child’s dental health but also on their jaw development and general health for the future. 

How much will it cost?

Many children can access free dental treatment through Medicare’s Childhood Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS). Our friendly team at toothco Cotton Tree can check your child’s eligibility online so you will know before your visit. Otherwise we offer no gap for health fund members.
